Quilting Information

Edge to Edge

Edge-to-Edge Quilting uses the same pattern throughout the entire quilt, making it affordable and efficient. We can find the perfect all-over design from our library of patterns to highlight the love and attention that went into your piecework. Choose from our ever growing directory of designs collected from Pattern Cloud, or provide your own, and we will visualize the patterns until you decide on the perfect fit. This method is ideal for quilts that prioritize speed and consistency, with pricing based on the quilt's square footage.

Semi-Custom

Semi-custom quilting enhances basic edge-to-edge design with personalized features. It allows for unique borders, special treatments for blocks, and varying stitch tightness. We can plan the perfect design from our library of patterns to personalize your unique design. Choose from our ever growing directory or designs collected from Pattern Cloud, or provide your own, and we will work together to find the perfect fit. Pricing is based on design complexity and the number of changes included.

Custom

Custom quilting features unique designs for each quilt, with specific patterns for every block and border. We can create the perfect quilting design from scratch, made to suit your style and piecework. We will digitally draw over your quilt top to create a one-of-a-kind design, and then the machine will perfectly execute the stitching. This intricate process demands more skill and time, affecting the price, which varies based on design complexity, quilting density, and customer requirements.

Competition

*Coming Soon* Competition quilting is a detailed and artistic quilting style made for display, competitions, or special events. The design is crucial for visual appeal, and prices vary based on design complexity, quilting density, and attention to detail.

Summary the Hobbs Website:

Hobbs Heirloom® Premium 80/20 Cotton/Poly Blend Batting is ideal for hand and machine quilting, made of 80% cotton and 20% polyester. It features needle punching and light resin bonding for durability. The batting offers a flat, low-loft look with close quilting, while more spaced stitching yields a higher loft.

Hobbs Heirloom® Premium Natural 100% Cotton Batting is an ideal choice for quilters who seek a traditional look and exceptional softness in their quilts. Made from the finest, clean, long-staple virgin cotton, this non-allergenic batting not only offers a fairly flat finish but also becomes softer with each wash.

Hobbs Heirloom® Premium 100% Wool Batting is a highly sought-after batting known for its soft, luxurious feel and ability to enhance a quilter’s piecing and stitching. Lightweight and breathable, it performs well in all climates, including hot and humid conditions. Made from the finest superwashed wool, it is pleasant to touch, resistant to shrinking, and strong against bearding and migration. This batting is particularly popular for ‘show quilts’ due to its crease-free finish, allowing quilts to hang beautifully.
